Trophies
Perpetual Trophies for the age group winners and individual trophies for all age groups and both sexes, dependant on entries.
Certificates for all entrants.
Prizes will be presented after the Blitz has finished on Thursday, 4:30pm.
Titles
There will be 12 titles awarded:
2020 Western Australian Junior Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Junior Girls Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 16 Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 16 Girls Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 14 Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 14 Girls Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 12 Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 12 Girls Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 10 Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 10 Girls Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 8 Chess Champion
2020 Western Australian Under 8 Girls Chess Champion
Tie breaks
If two or more players tie for first place in a division, they will have a playoff match (or matches) to determine the winner.
The format and time control for the playoff matches will be determined by the arbiter.
Girls titles
In case there will be no female entries in a given division there will be additional games played amongst best-performing girls from other divisions to determine the winner of that division. For instance, if there will be no female entries into U18 division the title and perpetual trophy for U18 girls will be decided in a match between top girls in U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16 (given they are present and are willing to play).
Organisers will determine the rules and time format of these possible matches on the day. The players will be informed separately.
